| Moschatel | Moschatel family |
| Adoxa moschatellina | Adoxaceae |
A pale-green low-growing perennial, which flowers in spring in woods and damp shady places. The flowers are arranged facing outwards and upwards, which gives it the alternative name of Town-Hall Clock. The plant smells of musk, which attracts small beetles for pollination, while the seeds are said to be dispersed by snails.
