| Crack Willow | Willow family |
| Salix fragilis | Salicaceae |
Crack Willow is so named because the twigs break very easily, with a cracking sound. It has occurred in Britain since pre-medieval times, and grows in wetland areas. It has long thin leaves, but unlike White Willow, the leaves have green undersides.
