Turkey Oak Beech family
Quercus cerries Fagaceae

Turkey Oaks grow in similar conditions to English Oaks. The main difference between the two species is that the acorns of the Turkey Oak have bristly cups, and the leaves are more deeply cut, lacking the appendages at the base.
