Western Clover Pea family
Trifolium occidentale Leguminosae (Fabaceae)

Western Clover is found only on the coasts of South-West England. Its flower is similar to that of White Clover, although it has a red calyx. The leaves are very small, less than 10mm across, and in contrast to many other clovers, the leaves lack any white markings.
