Common Restharrow is a prostrate plant with pink peak-like flowers and sticky-hairy stems and leaves, which grows on chalky ground or other dry grassland on lime-rich soils. The name "Restharrow" comes from the fact that its roots are so tough that they would cause horse-drawn harrows to come to a halt (be "arrested") during ploughing.
