| Ramson (Wild Garlic) | Lily family |
| Allium ursinum | Liliaceae |
The white flowers of Ramson are a common sight in woods and hedgerows of Southern England, but rarer in the North. They can grow in profusion, producing a stunning white carpet in woodlands in spring. They smell strongly of garlic (hence their alternative name of Wild Garlic), making some spring walks rather smelly.
