Geranium family (Geraniaceae)

The main distinguishing characteristic of plants in the Geranium (or Crane's-bill) family is that the seeds have long beaks (or bills).
There are two genera in the family: Geranium (Crane's-bills), which have palmately-lobed leaves and fruit capsules whose beaks roll up to release the seeds, and Erodium (Stork's-bills), which have pinnate leaves and seed capsules which twist spirally when ripe.
