A similar plant to Monkey-flower, growing in wet conditions in Northern England and Scotland. It has a bright yellow 5-petalled flower with the same red spots in the throat of the corolla as Monkey-flower, but also has large red blotches on the lower petals. It was originally introduced to the UK from South America as a garden plant.
