|Achillea millefolium||Asteraceae (Compositae)|
Yarrow (or Milfoil) is a common drought-tolerant plant of dry grassland, and can crop up in untended lawns. It flowers in late summer, and can continue flowering well into the autumn. The flowers are usually white, but can also be pink or cream. Variants of this species with brighter coloured flowers (especially yellow) are used as cottage garden plants.
