Angelica Carrot family
Angelica sylvestris Apiaceae (Umbelliferae)

Angelica is a tall plant of damp shady places, where it can grow up to two metres tall. It has purple stems, and pinnately-cut leaves, which arise from broad inflated sheaths. The flowers are generally white, although often tinged pink.
