| Sea Rocket | Cabbage family |
| Cakile maritima | Cruciferae (Brassicaceae) |
Sea Rocket grows on sandy seashores, and has fleshy leaves to conserve fresh water. The stems sprawl across the sand, then rise to bear the leaves and flowers, which may be pink or white, while the leaves can be simple or pinnately cut. The seeds are mitre-shaped, and may be dispersed by the sea.
