| Danish Scurvygrass (Early scurvy-grass) | Cabbage family |
| Cochlearia danica | Cruciferae (Brassicaceae) |
Danish Scurvygrass flowers early in the year, with small pale lilac flowers followed by egg-shaped pods.
Its natural habitat is salt marshes, but it has spread inland, especially along roadsides,
aided by the salting of roads in winter.
It differs from the similar-looking Common Scurvygrass by having kidney-shaped leaves higher up the stem and ivy-shaped leaves lower down.
