Two new ponds were dug in Farnham Park in September 2010.
They are being allowed to fill naturally with groundwater and
rainwater, and to colonise with native plants and flowers.
This web page follows the development of these ponds.
The pond in the left-hand pictures is the one nearest Folly Hill,
named Parliament Pond, as a 17th century musket ball from the Civil War was found there during excavations.
The other pond (in the right-hand pictures) has been named Royal Pond.
