Rowledge v Hursley Park on Sunday 18th July at Binsted

Rowledge 123/6 off 45 overs
Hursley Park 125/7 off 36.3 overs

Scoring was always likely to be difficult on an unpredictable Binsted pitch. Rowledge batted first, and only their captain Katy Robinson, who batted all 45 overs for 77 not out, got on top of the bowling, with no other Rowledge batters making it to double figures.

In reply, Hursley Park also found scoring difficult. Rowledge picked up wickets regularly, many of them being catches off top edges, and had high hopes of a good result when they reduced Hursley Park to 57/6 after 22 overs. Unfortunatley for Rowledge, Hursley Park had batting strength in depth, and Claire Davidson and Emma Bane compiled a half-century stand for the seventh wicket, and although Rowledge got another wicket, Hursley Park then only needed another 10 runs for victory.

Rowledge points: 2.7 batting points, 3.5 bowling points
