Welcome to the Rowledge Ladies Cricket Club website

Rowledge Ladies are currently looking for new players to join our cricket team for the 2012 season in Division 2 of the National Cricket League. We are a friendly team comprising a wide mix of players, with ages ranging from 13 to 50+, and we welcome new players of any standard. If you are interested in playing for us, please contact Maggie Finney (Tel: 01252 795126, E-mail: maggie@1choice.co.uk).

We run both winter and summer training sessions, which anybody is welcome to come along to. Our 2012 winter training will take place on Sunday evenings starting on 26 February at Weydon School, Farnham (directions to the school can be found here). Sessions run from 7-8pm, and continue each Sunday until 15th April (except Easter). The first session will be a "Free-for-all", where everybody is invited to turn up and have some fun, regardless of previous cricketing experience.

In late April we will start our outdoor training on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 at Rowledge Recreation Ground, in preparation for our league matches, which begin on Sunday 22nd April. For details of our 2012 fixtures, please click here.

We play at the Rowledge Recreation Ground, located just south of Farnham on the Surrey/Hampshire border, or alternatively, at our second ground in the nearby village of Binsted. Our team is now in its 17th year, and in 2009 reached an all-time high of promotion to Division 1 of the Women's Cricket Southern League. This year we are playing in Division 2 again, and are aiming to achieve promotion back up to Division 1.

Club History
When the Ladies team started up in 1996, we initially played in the Hampshire League, winning the title in 2000. We then joined the National League in Division 3, and were promoted in 2004 to Division 2. Rowledge Cricket Club designated 2009 as the "Year of the Ladies", and the women's team obliged by having a great season, finishing in second place in their league and getting promoted to Division 1. Click here to view a summary of our 2009 season. In 2010 we played in Division 1, but came up against some very experienced teams and finished down in 7th place, thus returning to Division 2, where we remained in 2011. A summary of our 2011 season can be found here.
