Welcome to the Rowledge Ladies Cricket Club website

2010 season
Outdoor training is on Wednesdays at 6:30pm, at Rowledge Recreation Ground.
League matches are all on Sunday afternoons, starting on May 2nd, and finishing on September 12th. The full list of 2010 fixtures and results to date is available here.

This year we are trialling a web-based availability system for our league matches, to reduce the workload on our team secretary. Players are encouraged to fill in and submit the form located HERE, and to keep it updated during the season. Initially please could everybody fill this in to the best of their knowledge for the first few matches. Later fixtures can be left as "Don't know" for the time being and updated later in the season, for example when holidays have been booked.
A summary of players available for the next few matches can be found
here (for those players who have submitted online).

Club History
Rowledge Ladies play at the Rowledge Recreation Ground, located just south of Farnham on the Surrey/Hampshire border. The Ladies team was formed in 1996 when Rowledge Cricket Club invited Ann Mortimer to set up a Ladies team. Initially it was very much a family-run affair, with Ann's dad Jim umpiring, mum Stephanie doing the teas, and daughter Emily joining the team. Over the years the Mortimer clan have attempted to retire, but we were delighted to welcome back both Ann as captain and Emily as a player in 2009.

We are currently looking for new players to join our successful cricket team in the National Southern League Division 1 in 2010, having been promoted in 2009. We are a friendly team comprising a wide mix of players, with ages ranging from 13 to 50+, and we welcome new players of any standard. If you are interested in playing for us, please contact either our captain, Ann Mortimer (01252 712829) or our club secretary, Jackie Rice (01252 324537).

We initially played in the Hampshire League, winning the title in 2000. We then joined the National League in Division 3, and were promoted in 2004 to Division 2. Rowledge Cricket Club designated 2009 as the "Year of the Ladies", and the women's team obliged by having a great season, finishing in second place in their league and getting promoted to Division 1.
