This website illustrates many of the wildflowers found in the British Isles.
Close-up photographs show details which would not normally be noticed by a casual glance,
such as veins or patterns on the petals, and hairs on the leaves, stalks, and calyx.
Each species has its own web page, containing a set of photos showing the whole plant
and details of its individual features, usually with showy close-ups of the flowers.
Botanical features may also be outlined to aid classification.
